AAMOW
I’ve always been interested in using wood as art. As a child I would construct toys and models from cardboard, this continued through childhood and as I grew older I developed and made wooden furniture.
Having children inspired me to develop my skills further. I became more imaginative which lead me to produce artwork. I feel my art reflects our world, and depicts everyday life, illustrating cultures, geographical landmarks, icons and the world around us.
I take great pleasure in the whole process of crafting - cutting, shaping, sanding, staining and painting. As each stage unfolds it is humbling to see a unique creation emerge and a natural resource being transformed.
